Dr. Apostle Anthony Wright Sr. is the founder and lead pastor of New Apostolic Kingdom Church. He is a nationally sought-after speaker, teacher, and consultant, recognized for his apostolic leadership, prophetic insight, and commitment to advancing the Kingdom of God.
After retiring from the United States Air Force in 2004, Dr. Wright received a divine mandate to establish a Christ-centered, apostolic ministry. In obedience to continued direction from God, that ministry transitioned into what is now known as New Apostolic Kingdom Church, reflecting a clarified apostolic assignment and Kingdom focus.
Dr. Wright is dedicated to training and equipping believers and five-fold leaders to walk in spiritual authority, purpose, and Kingdom responsibility, including effective ministry in the marketplace. His ministry emphasizes teaching, mentoring, and spiritual growth, and he has witnessed healing, deliverance, and transformation through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Dr. Wright is married to Apostle Benita B. Wright, and together they have four children and nine grandchildren.
Evangelist Shay Johnson is a native of Detroit, Michigan, who began her walk with Christ at a young age. She dedicated her life to Christ and was baptized in the name of Jesus at the age of 13, marking the beginning of a lifelong commitment to serving God and His people. She is gifted in intercessory prayer and is called to strengthen and support the Body of Christ through prayer and ministry.
Evangelist Johnson honorably served her country in the United States Army for over 22 years, ministering to others both at home and abroad while faithfully sharing the Gospel. Throughout her military service, she encouraged and restored believers who had grown stagnant in their faith, helping to reignite their passion for Christ.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies from Liberty University. Evangelist Johnson is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Growth and expects to graduate in May 2026.
Evangelist Johnson is called to minister to those who have lost their way, carrying a heart for restoration, reconciliation, and spiritual renewal.
Prophet Edmond Norris was born in Pinehurst, North Carolina, and raised in Carthage. He honorably served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, including a deployment to Bagram, Afghanistan, during Operation Enduring Freedom.
On March 31, 2013, Edmond surrendered his life to Jesus Christ following a transformative message titled “Rise Up.” This marked the beginning of a new life and a clear call to ministry. After joining New Vision Worship Center in 2015, he faithfully pursued his calling through training in prophetic ministry, leadership, apostolic ministry, prayer, deliverance, discipleship, evangelism, and pastoral care.
Prophet Norris has served diligently in various ministry capacities, including prophetic ministry, intercession, media, men’s ministry, and pastoral support. He is being ordained into the five-fold ministry under apostolic covering and carries a prophetic and teaching anointing.
With a heart for reaching the lost and restoring the broken, Prophet Norris is committed to preaching, teaching, and releasing the heart of God with compassion, boldness, and sound doctrine under the leading of the Holy Spirit.
